Avi Dubitzky caused the arrest of hundreds of pedophiles who started chatting with him as a 13-year-old and did not intend to stop. “If I go into the chat as a girl and they don’t contact me, I’ve achieved my goal,” he says about his working methods. Unfortunately, the police don’t like the forms, probably because it is causing them lots of work and putting them in the frying pan for not doing enough.
Avi Dubitzky, an immigrant from the United States, got up one morning and decided to do something; he entered the chat rooms and waited. No one nominated him for this position, and the police did not ask for help. Still, Dubitzky is responsible for arresting an IDF officer from Jerusalem, a well-known actor from the Kameri Theater, and four employees from the education system, all of whom solicited sex from children.
And he knows no rest. Every day, 12 hours a day, he accumulates hundreds of cases of harassers on the Internet, all of which he brings to the police. In the last month, he is responsible for 30 arrests already to his credit, several indictments, and one conviction.
“I wrote that I was a girl, I wrote that I was a boy, and I saw that there was a demand for small children on the Internet,” says Dubitzky. “The inquiries are just there. It’s like, say, the end of the season, and everything is sold at 50 percent, so the children are sold at 50 percent, and there is a rush,” he adds.
But shockingly, the police and the prosecutor’s office could be more enthusiastic about his operation methods. “When you operate an agent, there are rules that are allowed and forbidden, and you have to be very, very strict with these rules; it’s a real profession,” says the head of law and technology at the State Attorney’s Office, Attorney Haim Wismonski. So it will rise to impeachment,” he added.
Some said, ‘Listen, you risk lawsuits,’ there was one officer who I have no idea about; she didn’t want to hear more about the stories and even blocked me on WhatsApp,” revealed Dubitzky, who added that “99.9% of people see this as important work, a tiny handful of people do There is something wrong with that, and I would suggest checking why.”
“I set a goal at the beginning to reach 100 people; this goal was achieved in a concise period”, he told me about the beginning as he remembers it. He still doesn’t see the end. “I set a goal for myself; as soon as I know that I can go online as a girl and there will be no way that even one man will approach me, I will have achieved the goal,” he said
In response, the Israel Police stated that “Much of Mr. Dubitzky’s activity in the field known by him as ‘detecting pedophiles’ is of limited evidentiary value due to the manner of his activity. Sex offenses on the Internet are enforced in a determined and professional manner by a trained and qualified set of investigators in all police units, accompanied by lawyers and in a manner orderly and supervised”.
